Biography

Dashiell Grey (born Dashiell Grey Correia-Fisher, 2006), is a versatile artist attempting to do what most artists attempt to do: create and evolve. Something distinctive about Dash is not that he is young and yet is in belief that he requires a website all to himself, but that he is intrinsically indebted to stating just that. There is never a lapse of truth in Dash's diction. Every poem, every play, every song, every novel, and every art piece of Dash require the most basic necessity: truth. And with truth, the path is not linear; it is jagged and has many highways to which one may travel. Dashiell Grey is just a traveler on a path, and his only destination is another highway to get off on. 

Dashiell Grey initiated his musical journey with the attending of School of Rock in Cherry Hill. Just becoming privy to the magic of music, Dash took up vocal lessons (following his brother, years after his departure from SOR) and performed in shows for three years. During his time there, he formed a punk band with three friends from there called Drastic Measures. The band has written six albums, over five EPs, and has released countless singles. Drastic Measures has also played several shows at the Marlton Music Training Center, Union Fire House, and at Sweet Things in New Jersey. In the later part of 2022, Dash decided to branch out from the band and started writing his own music. At first, Dash wrote folk songs, but then quickly immersed himself in every inspiration under the sun and is currently trying to find his voice and sound. He has released several demo albums full of semi-produced songs. Apart from music, Dash embarked on his writing career in 2022, writing heaps of passionate poetry.  The following year, in the Summer, Dash wrote two plays: "The Settlement", and "The Last Orpheus." That November, Dash released his first published work under Small Potatoes Press: "The Diary Young." "The Diary Young" is a collection of over one hundred poems from 2022-2023. Recently, Dash's play "The Last Orpheus" has been picked up by a theater company and is being performed sometime later in 2023. Every day, you'll find Dash writing his two morning poems with the fervor of the most curious mind, attempting to show the world in a new light.
